Professional Consultation Services
As a clinician, it’s easy to become isolated and feel unsupported — especially when you're working in high-pressure systems or far from home. I offer both consultation groups and individual consultation sessions designed specifically for two communities I know and love: healthcare social workers and international clinicians living or working abroad.
These are not supervision groups, and they’re not just “peer support.” They are intentional, facilitated spaces where clinical reflection meets connection — where you can bring the real stuff: ethical dilemmas, emotional burnout, questions about confusing systems, professional identity exploration, or just the feeling that you’re “doing too much and not enough.”

You became a social worker to make a meaningful impact — to be present with people during some of the hardest moments of their lives, to guide others through systems that so often feel impossible to navigate. You bring empathy, clarity, and steadiness to chaotic situations. You hold a team together. You carry the grief, the tension, the ethical gray zones — and somehow still show up with compassion.
I’ve been there.
I spent over a decade in pediatric emergency and nephrology settings, navigating the impossible expectations placed on healthcare social workers. I would move quickly from supporting a family during a death to advocating for school services, which meant emotional dyregulation and no time to process the depth of experience. Providers came to me with problems I couldn’t fix. Not because I wasn’t good at my job, but because the problems were outside of my scope, but that didn’t change the self-doubt and fear I had that I couldn’t do my job well. I struggled with moral distress that comes from the broken healthcare system. I struggled because I didn’t know how to say no.
I witnessed countless traumas, was burned out, and deeply affected by the work — but I also learned how to sit with people in unimaginable pain, how to hold space for complexity, how resilient we can be.
What I didn’t have — and what I needed most — was meaningful support. Supervision that went deeper. A space to bring clarity to complexity. A space to learn practical strategies and language to relieve some of the pressure that was making my job so hard.
That’s what this consultation space is for.
For healthcare social workers who want:
Time to reflect on how you’re practicing — and how you want to deepen your practice
Support in navigating systemic pressures without sacrificing your wellbeing
Strategies to bring relief to you practice, and language to learn how to advocate for yourself to your colleagues and supervisors
A steady group of peers who understand this work from the inside
Let’s create the kind of support that the system rarely offers.
You deserve that.
Social Workers In Healthcare
As therapists, we carry a deep commitment to growth, reflection, and holding space for others. That doesn’t stop when we cross borders — but living and working abroad can shift everything: our sense of home, our clinical instincts, even how we see ourselves in the room.
I’ve been there.
When I moved to Paris, I was overwhelmed — not just by the logistics of international practice, but by the isolation that came with it. I went from walking down the hall to consult with a trusted colleague to sitting alone, several time zones away, trying to make sense of new rhythms, new responsibilities, and what it meant to still “do good work” in this new context.
I had to navigate licensure, legality, and ethics across borders — all while wondering if I was still “doing it right.” I missed peer connection. I missed feeling seen and understood by colleagues who shared similar lived experiences.
But over time, something else emerged:
Living and working abroad challenged my clinical identity in expansive ways. It pushed me to question norms I took for granted, learn from perspectives outside my training, and develop a deeper tolerance for nuance. I’ve become more intentional, more flexible, and more willing to think — and practice — outside the box.
This consultation space is for therapists who are living and working internationally, whether you're just starting out or have been abroad for years. A space where you don’t have to explain what it’s like to be far from home while still showing up for others.
Together, we’ll:
Reflect on your evolving clinical voice, values, and professional identity
Connect with others navigating similar terrain
Normalize the complexity of living and working in two (or more) worlds
Reclaim a sense of community, clarity, and support
Whether you’re settling in or still sorting through the pieces, this is a space for grounding, reflection, and connection. You’re not alone.
Let’s hold space for what’s hard, honor what’s emerging, and build something steady — together.
