Practice Policies

PAYMENT

Payment is expected at the time of service. I accept credit cards, HSA cards, and Venmo. Upon request, I will provide you with a monthly invoice (aka “a superbill”) that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Insurance reimbursement can be confusing – Here is a helpful guide to understand out-of-network reimbursement.

CANCELLATIONS

I require at least 48-hours’ (excluding weekends and holidays) notice for appointment cancellations. Because this time is set aside just for you, you will be charged the full rate of the appointment if you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice or no-show to your appointment. I understand that things happen outside of your control, and exceptions will be made for emergencies on a case-by-case basis.

CONFIDENTIALITY

As my client, anything you share with me in session is protected by law. I cannot disclose any information about you without your written permission. There are rare exceptions related to safety which we will discuss further in session. Clients receive a more comprehensive confidentiality notice upon intake.

NOTE: My practice is closed evenings, weekends and holidays, and my practice does not provide crisis services. If you are experiencing a psychiatric emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.

FAQ

  • Do you take insurance?

I am an “out-of-network” provider. This means that I do not work directly with any insurance companies, though your insurance may reimburse you for some of what you pay. Clients are expected to pay for the session when we meet, and upon request, I can provide you with a monthly invoice or “superbill”. You can send this to your insurance requesting reimbursement. You can learn more about this process here.

  • How much do your sessions cost?

    50-Minute Individual Session: $175

    4-Hour Therapy Intensive: $925

    6-Week Supportive Group: $270

  • Where are you located?

I am a licensed clinical social worker in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Washington DC, and Vermont, and all of my sessions are virtual.
